Andrea Domenici, a rare and accomplished talent in the world of jazz piano and composition, has already achieved remarkable milestones by the age of 31. He was a finalist in the 2023 Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition, won the inaugural "Premio Gianni Basso" for best soloist, and claimed first place at the "La Spezia Jazz Competition" as the best piano player.

Born and raised in Lecco, Italy, Andrea has called New York home since 2012, where he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in contemporary jazz, including Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Gary Bartz, Louis Hayes, Kenny Washington, Billy Drummond, Peter Washington, and Peter Bernstein.

Andrea released his debut album Playing Who I Am for Abeat Records in 2019, featuring the legendary bassist Peter Washington and drummer Billy Drummond. His exceptional artistry has taken him to renowned venues and festivals worldwide, including the 2017 Festival Internacional de Música in Cancun, Mexico, and the prestigious Marians Jazzroom in Bern, Switzerland. He has also performed at iconic New York venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Smalls, Mezzrow, Smoke Jazz Club, and Zinc Bar.

With a Master’s degree from The Juilliard School and a Bachelor’s degree from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, Andrea has studied under jazz legends like Barry Harris, Kenny Barron, and Dado Moroni. In 2022, he served as the house pianist at the renowned Casa Cipriani and currently performs four nights a week at the beloved Italian restaurant Cucina 8 1/2.

Andrea Domenici, un talento raro e straordinario nel mondo del pianoforte jazz e della composizione, ha già raggiunto traguardi notevoli all’età di 31 anni. È stato finalista nella "2023 Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition", ha vinto il primo "Premio Gianni Basso" come miglior solista e il "La Spezia Jazz Competition" come miglior pianista.

Nato e cresciuto a Lecco, Italia, Andrea vive a New York dal 2012, dove ha collaborato con alcuni dei più grandi nomi del jazz contemporaneo, tra cui Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Gary Bartz, Louis Hayes, Kenny Washington, Billy Drummond, Peter Washington e Peter Bernstein.
